WHAT SONG MOTIVATES YOU? “Daydreaming” by Harry Styles is my inspiration song at the moment, because he talks about how love motivates him to have bigger dreams, as well as explaining how he’s living in a daydream. As a result, he feels so happy due to the love he has already received. This encourages me, because realizing the same thing helps my own journey towards a destination. WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES? Dancing, because I’ve danced my whole life since I was 2 years old, and it’s something I truly love to do. Even if it’s not on a stage competing in front of an audience, this artform always been my passion. On a relevant note, I love physical activities in general, whether it’s going to the gym, doing yoga, or spending some time outside through a jog. WHAT’S YOUR COUNTRY FAMOUS FOR? Something unique America is famous for would be its film and music industries, fields where it has always dominated. Hollywood in particular has inspired other movie industries around the world. WHO DO YOU ADMIRE? My mom. Not only do I appreciate how she lives her life, but I also admire how she’s taught me how to live mine. She showed me that it’s important to be kind and respectful, and most importantly, she taught me how to be a strong woman. In today's society, it's super important to be established and confident in yourself - be able to have your own opinions and have important conversations about them. WHAT’S YOUR MOTTO IN LIFE? "Fake it till you make it," this always helps me when I’m in situations where I have no idea what’s going on, but I always pretend that I know what I’m doing which always helps me get through challenges. That motto gives me a confidence I wouldn’t normally have in those scenarios. Fresh off a stacked couture season, American beauty Ali Dansky has gracefully transitioned from a background in dance to becoming one of fashion’s most compelling rising faces. From the ballet studio to the global stage, her innate awareness of movement honed through years of training translates to a sparkle that stands out on the runway and in front of the camera. Her breakout moment came with a semi-exclusive debut at Mathieu Blazy’s Bottega Veneta, followed by an electrifying Paris S/S 24 season where she closed shows for Dior and Givenchy, solidifying her spot on Models.com’s Top Newcomers list. Now, Dansky continues her ascent as one of the stars of Dior’s latest S/S 2025 campaign, exemplifying her longterm relationship with the brand. With the whirlwind of her burgeoning career and becoming a Hot Lister, Models.com spoke to Dansky about embracing each career opportunity with positivity, setting her sights on exploring future passions, and inspiring the next gen of models to trust the process. Where are you originally from, how did you first get discovered, and did you always want to be a model? I was born and raised in Washington state. I was recommended to my mother agency from one of my former dance teachers, he had suggested I should give it a try. Even though I had never considered it before it didn’t take much convincing to give it a try. Growing up I was always focused on dancing, but it was a smooth transition from dance to modeling. It allows me to still be creative and being a dancer I am very aware of my body and movement on the runway and in front of the camera. Your debut was walking Bottega Veneta as a semi-exclusive. Looking back, do you remember that first major job and the energy backstage? I vividly remember the way I felt backstage at my first runway show. It felt insane I was getting the opportunity to debut with such a great show and team. Before I was even confirmed for the show I had always imagined what it might be like. But, in reality I was more nervous than I had ever been, but at the same time the most excited. It was so exhilarating. After that show, you ended up having a stellar Paris S/S 24 show season, closing Dior, Givenchy, and walking Hermes. Then you landed on Models.com’s Top Newcomers. How did it feel to make that impact in Milan and Paris? After my first season was complete it didn’t even hit me how amazing it was until many weeks after. It took me coming back from the chaos and craziness that fashion week is to even realize how amazing it went. I had just graduated from high school and it was my first season so my goal was getting one show. Then I ended up closing 2 shows, walking many more, and living out my wildest dream. Then to end up on Models.com Top Newcomers was amazing. It was the most accomplished I have ever felt. Campaign-wise, 2024 was a strong year of bookings for you, landing Max Mara, Michael Kors, and Dior. What was the experience like working with that caliber of creative team? Experiencing working on major campaigns was some of my favorite moments I’ve had in the industry so far. So many hours and hard work are put in by many people who all contribute to making it happen. I love getting the opportunity to be one of the pieces that completes these creative ideas. It is fascinating watching everything come together, I am in awe of their talents. Every detail is perfection. ow is managing the demands of constant travel and unpredictable schedules? After traveling as much as I have in the last year I still think I haven’t gotten used to it yet. Although it’s unpredictable you find yourself in many places you never would have expected it to go. When it comes to a schedule I have to just go with the flow and have fun with it because you can never predict what’s next. I sure have seen a lot of the world and so many airports! Outside of modeling, do you have any interests that fill your time when you’re not working? Anything that brings me relaxation is what I love to do, recently I have been getting into little crafts, painting, yoga. with a job like modeling it is key to have relaxing hobbies. What are your goals for the future, both within and outside the modeling industry? I’m just 19 so I have a lot of future ahead of me and I want to apply what I am learning in the fashion industry to find my passion. My goal is to bring these qualities into everything I decide I want to do later. Right now I love modeling, traveling, meeting new people, finding out about them and we shall see what the future holds. Are there any specific designers or creatives you aspire to work with? After working in the industry for a full year I have already been able to work with such great designers, people, and brands that I would love to continue to be a part of their shows and campaigns. I would love to work with Jacquemus. Their show is always so elegant and it inspires me so much. As an American model, how do you feel about representation within the fashion industry? I’m very happy that I get to represent America as my own unique self. I love meeting people from other countries and learning about them and hopefully show them the diversity of our American culture too. What advice would you give to aspiring models entering the industry? Try to be stress free in the beginning, there’s a lot of nerves waiting to see what will happen. Trust in the process and don’t forget to manifest positivity. |
