Two weeks ago, Allyson Chalmers was just a regular girl from Philadelphia, PA. Last week, the high school senior walked at New York Fashion week in the Calvin Klein runway show — a major win for any model, especially a brand new one. So, how did she make her dreams of becoming a model happen SO FAST? Instagram and YouTube! The ~future~ is here, people. Allyson submitted her photos via Instagram to IMG Models' We Love Your Genes scouting program. She then watched YouTube videos to learn how to walk the runway like a pro. "I practiced my walk in my dining room when nobody was home, so I could play my music as loud as I wanted!" she told Refinery29. "Two weeks ago, I never really thought of modeling as something that I could do as a career. It had always been a thought in the back of my mind, and finally I just decided, Why not?!"
