Iris: I got scouted on the street in New York when I was there for student exchange, and,as I was not from there, they advice me to try place models in germany. Did you ever think you'd be doing this? Iris: No, never! I would have never dared to think about something like this, although a lot of people told me, I could be a model. What do you like most about modeling? What do you like least? Iris: That's a hard question, it's all so exciting! I think, I like the most that you never know what might happen next. And at the same time I like this least because it's hard to make plans for your private life. Have you encountered any surprises along the way? Iris: The model-business is full of surprises! Every new job is a surprise. Ever get tempted to get pulled into the party scene? Iris: No, never. I like it to go to a party once in a while to distract myself from being homesick and missing my boyfriend. Have you developed any new interests since you started modeling? Iris: I was always interested in arts. I think since I have started modelling I got more and more into photography. I also discovered that I love to do sports. What are your favourite things to do in your free time? Iris: Talking to my boyfriend, hanging out with my model-friends and relax. Out of all the places your career has taken you, where was the most memorable? Iris: I think it's Hamburg, because it's the place where everything started. I have been living there for 3 months and I will never forget how hard my motheragents at place models worked - and still are working - to get me started within a very short period of time. Do you have a mentor? Who? What is it about them that affects you? Why? Iris: In fact I have 2 mentors, Yannis and Jan Erik from place models. They are the best motheragents one can think of. I just know that they are always there for me, no matter where I am or what I do. If something is wrong or I have questions, I can always call them. I completely trust their opinion and the way they manage me. Where do you see yourself in ten years? What could be your next career? Iris: You never know, what happens next. What are your beauty secrets? How do you stay in shape? Iris: When I was 10 years old or so my teacher at school told us that it is not good for your body to use too many cosmetics, for example moisturising creams for your face and so on. Because your skin get's used to it and looses it's own ability to recover. I have always been thinking about that since then, that's why I try to use as less cosmetics as possible. For staying in shape I try to eat as healthy as possible and to do sports whenever I have time for it. What would you want people to know about you? Iris: I'll always stay the simple girl from the Austrian mountains. Any advice for new models? What advice would you give other models starting out? Iris: Try to stay the person you are and be honest with yourself and other people. Favourite all-time model: Iris: Heidi Klum Favourite kind of food: Iris: Thai food. Favourite kind of music: Iris: Alternative rock Favourite quote: Iris: "Trying to stay normal in this insane world is an insanity itself." Voltaire I'd like to meet: Iris: Patrick Dampsey and Allen Pompeo from Grey's Anatomy If I were trapped on an island I'd take: Iris:My boyfriend |
